Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for adequate staffing and on-time blood collections.
• Monitors the workflow to ensure completion of shift's work.
• Assists supervisor with maintaining personnel records.
• Communicates and documents any unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Follows laboratory policy regarding standard precautions.
• Maintains a minimum inventory of reagents and supplies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in routine venipuncture and blood culture collection.
