Job summary

Howard Head Sports Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Tech – PRN to support the pharmacist in daily operations at our Vail, Colorado location. This role involves entering patient and prescription information, aiding in dispensing, handling transactions, stocking inventory, and leading other technicians.

The position is PRN or as needed, with eligible 16% PRN differential. Certification and strong computer skills are required, with training opportunities and HIPAA compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Must be adept at typing and using various computer programs.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements, access forms and policies, and complete benefits enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technician by acting as a role model and training in Pharmacy Technician processes.
• Enter patient information and prescription orders in the computer.
• Interact with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues.
• Profile and aid in dispensing prescription orders under a pharmacist's supervision.
• Manage cash register transactions and daily reconciliation.
• Assist with RX inventory management and training others in the process.
• Deliver excellent customer service with safety, patient preferences, and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain HIPAA compliance.
