Job summary

Prism Health North Texas is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee daily workflow, training, and ensure accurate prescription processing. You will collaborate with pharmacists, input prescriptions, and manage insurance verifications and inventory.

In this role you’ll lead a team of technicians, uphold regulatory compliance, and deliver excellent customer service to patients within Prism Health North Texas Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Understanding of pharmacy operations, laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and social service needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS.
• Sensitivity to diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software used in operations.
• PioneerRx pharmacy operating system experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides training, guidance and direction to other Pharmacy Technicians.
• Assists with daily workflow management and process improvement.
• Provides excellent customer service to Prism Health North Texas Pharmacy patients.
• Processes prescriptions accurately and efficiently, including insurance verification and billing.
• Fills prescriptions accurately and ensures proper pharmacist checking.
• Collaborates with physicians' offices and insurers for authorizations.
• Supports MTM opportunities and billing processes.
• Maintains compliance with policies and procedures and 340B program knowledge.
