Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Participates in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitors workflow and reassigns Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
• Prepares Pharmacy Technician schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Fills prescription items and packages medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, potentially non-sterile compounding.
• Ensure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
