Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Min 5 years of pharmacy technician experience; 1 year in lead/supervisory role.
• CPhT certification required.
• CSPT within 12 months if supervising compounding techs.
• Must be licensed/registered as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy technician operations in the IV room.
• Develop operational goals and track progress toward them.
• Ensure compliance with policies and state regulations.
• Develop new policies and procedures.
• Identify staffing needs and approve technician schedules.
• Interview and select new technicians.
• Evaluate technicians for promotions.
• Provide staff training and address performance issues.
• Prepare aseptic IV admixtures, including chemotherapy.
• Maintain quality control for clean room and laminar flow hood.
