UPMC West Shore is seeking a full-time Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in dispensing medications for patients of all ages and help lead a busy department.

You will mentor fellow technicians, help ensure daily operations run smoothly, and participate in quality improvement activities while upholding regulatory standards and a culture of service excellence.

Competenze

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent or Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
• Five years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Operation Specialist.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in current position.
• Demonstrated competency in all detailed aspects of the Lead Pharmacist Technician's DESIGNATED area: policy, procedure, and training materials.

Mansioni

• Filling medication orders with correct labeling, counting and stocking; initial and date products as required.
• Distribution of medication including cassettes, emergency carts, and distribution of controlled substances per policy and regulations.
• Assist in procurement, storage, preparation and distribution of investigational and study drugs.
• Lead departmental quality improvement activities to improve pharmaceutical care and evaluate indicators.
• Provide direction and leadership for designated technical aspects of medication preparation in the pharmacy.
• Oversee daily activities, organize duties, and develop workflow guidelines to maximize productivity.
