Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist license in the states within the district (or willing to obtain in 1 year).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
• Specialized training regarding medication and disease states (e.g., HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology) or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the pharmacy department.
• Improve prescription numbers, pharmacy sales, profit, and image through accurate filling and courteous service.
• Report prescription errors and comply with policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Manage inventory and purse asset protection; implement cash and third-party payment controls.
• Supervise department staff and verify licensure and training for all personnel.
