Job summary

Cibola General Hospital in Grants, NM is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee operations and ensure compliance in a critical access facility. The PIC will fill orders, monitor therapies, and provide drug information as part of daily clinical duties.

The role requires NM licensure, ACPE-accredited education, and hospital pharmacy experience; the environment supports professional growth with modern technology and collaborative care across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of New Mexico (NM).
• 1–2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage inventory, recalls, and proper storage of medications.
• Fill orders, monitor drug therapies, and provide drug information.
• Maintain formulary in Cerner and ensure sterile compounding compliance.
• Prepare, compound, label and dispense drugs.
• Maintain records of Pharmacy Department transactions as required by law.
