Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team. This full-time role supports dispensing, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and collaboration with clinicians.

Responsibilities include accurate preparation, reviewing orders, inventory management, and supervision of technicians. A PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy and state license are required; 1+ year of pharmacy experience is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required
• State Pharmacist License is required without restrictions
• Advanced computer skills and pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
• Medical consulting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to patients.
• Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure accuracy.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing based on allergies and interactions.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment for patient safety.
• Adhere to federal and state board regulations and compounding guidelines.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed and answer questions from patients and providers.
• Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par; communicate stock status to customers.
• Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisor on performance.
• Log all error medication occurrences and perform other duties as needed
