Job summary

SPATCO Energy Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking an energetic Petroleum Construction Crew Leader to oversee field crews in the installation and removal of petroleum storage tanks, piping, and fueling/dispenser equipment, with related concrete, electrical, and environmental tasks.

You will coordinate daily tasks, track crew schedules and costs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, manage materials and subcontractors, and maintain warranty and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in the petroleum industry is a plus but not required.
• 40hr OSHA training a plus.
• Installer certifications in the industry is a plus.
• Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing duties.
• Work outside during all types of weather.
• Follow all company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate job duties and delegate tasks for smaller construction projects.
• Monitor and maintain employee schedules and sub-contractors; ensure skilled application of work.
• Ensure safe work practices and housekeeping are followed at all times, including daily cleanup.
• Brief crew on daily tasks and direct workmen on assigned tasks.
• Track rental equipment, material usage, and labor costs to maintain budgets.
• Verify accuracy and compliance with codes, project specs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Document daily activities, materials used, testing, inspections and visitors.
• Maintain product warranty documentation.
• Foster positive relationships with crew, vendors, and sub-contractors to maintain timely supplies.
