POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this lead position is to direct job assignments, support the precooked labor and operators in the department and train all new line workers and operators. This position is responsible for assisting the shift supervisor in the managing of the packaging department. This role has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a Core Value. The Lead ensures that all policies, proceduresandactivitiesrelated to Food Safety &Qualityarefollowedandcomplied withuniformly,in an effort toreduce product and process variability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).- Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift certification.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:- One or more months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Ability to read and comprehend in English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.- Ability to write simple correspondence in English.- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization in English.- Bilingual is a plus.- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
