Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in the United States seeks a Lead Person - Fulfillment to coordinate and implement training for machine positions across shifts, drive quality, and production standards. You will lead safety programs, maintain equipment performance, and communicate issues to supervision while ensuring a high morale and safe work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2–3 years as a machine operator.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2-3 years’ work experience as a Machine Operator.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to sit, stoop climb and bend.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and implement a training program for all the machine positions on all shifts.
• Initiate programs to set and maintain quality, efficiencies and production levels to high standards within the industry and communicate standards to staff.
• Make recommendations and assist in planning, methods and machinery, safety programs and standards.
• Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant.
• Keep Production Manager informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the plant.
• Be available to operate the machines when needed on all shifts.
• Follow all SOP's in production for Safety, Quality and manufacturing process.
• Assist crews to achieve the highest quality product with most efficient process.
• Communicate all findings to your supervisor and/or manager.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Corrugated industry experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: 22 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
