Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) Integrated Mission Systems is seeking a Lead Personnel Security Specialist to oversee and enhance our personnel security program in support of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

This role reports to the Assistant Facility Security Officer and guides other security SMEs in ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has deep DISS/NBIS knowledge, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of DISS/NBIS processes and PERSEC.
• Advanced knowledge of NISPOM PERSEC requirements and adjudicative guidelines.
• Experience with investigations, eligibility workflows, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all PERSEC activities, including initiation, maintenance, and reporting.
• Oversee DISS/NBIS processing, eligibility updates, in-processing/out-processing actions, and VARs.
• Lead the PERSEC team in daily workflow management and process improvements.
