Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices is seeking a PCIe, CXL and Highspeed IO Validation Engineer to join their Austin team. You will develop validation test plans and collaborate across teams to improve SoC validation. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in SOC design, high-speed IO interfaces, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

The position requires a strong educational background in Engineering with extensive knowledge in programming/scripting and debug methods. This is a pivotal role in driving innovation at AMD.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in SOC design or validation of high speed IO interfaces.
• Experience in silicon bring up and debug.
• Extensive knowledge of system architecture and validation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation test plans for SoC features.
• Collaborate with teams to improve validation strategies.
• Drive root-cause analysis for SoC related issues.

Skills

Experience with PCIe Gen5/6+

Debug skills at SoC and system level

Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (C/C++, Python, Perl)

Strong analytical/problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Education

BSEE/CSE/CS with 7+ years of experience

MSEE/CSE/CS with 5+ years of experience

Tools

Protocol/logic analyzers

Oscilloscopes
