Job summary

Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics, Inc. is seeking a PC Board Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead design and implementation of electronic manufacturing systems and drive advanced PCB assembly processes.

You will oversee technology, equipment, and processes for PCBAs, optimize SMT, reflow, wave soldering, DFMs, PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean to improve productivity and quality, while mentoring a team.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Five+ years of progressive experience in electronic manufacturing systems.
• Experience overseeing technology, equipment, and processes to manufacture PCBAs.
• Experience with paste printing, SMT, reflow, selective/wave soldering, and through-hole insertion.
• Experience with DFMs, PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electronic manufacturing systems.
• Oversee technology, equipment, and processes to manufacture PCBAs.
• Optimize PCB assembly processes including paste printing, SMT, reflow, and soldering.
• Analyze KPI data to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Manage direct reports.
