We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner with a software engineering background and deep experience in payment gateways and processing systems to join onsite in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years as Technical Product Owner or similar role.
• 3+ years working with payment gateways or processors.
• Strong understanding of payment workflows, RESTful APIs, and PCI-DSS.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with EMV, tokenization, and fraud tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for payment gateway solutions and related integrations
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Partner with engineering on system design and trade-off decisions
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and roadmap execution in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Drive integration efforts with payment processors, gateways, ERP systems, and third‑party platforms
• Ensure PCI-DSS and other regulatory standards
• Define and optimize payment flows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, tokenization, and recurring billing
• Review API designs, technical documentation, and integration patterns
• Monitor payment performance metrics and prioritize enhancements
• Identify technical risks and drive resolution
• Support product releases, customer implementations, and post‑launch optimization
• Own processor certification and reduce cycle time through milestone tracking and parallelization
