Job summary

The Ohio State University James Ambulatory Scheduling team seeks a Manager 2, Scheduling to lead patient access operations at Polaris. The role supervises staff, drives scheduling accuracy, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with physicians and customers to improve access and service.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, analyzing QA data, developing reports, and supporting budgets and new programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare field or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and management skills.
• Computer experience required; proficiency with applications and systems.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Sense of professionalism; ability to win confidence across levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage, guide, coaching and evaluating staff in Patient Access for The James.
• Monitor scheduling accuracy and efficacy of processes through reports and QA data.
• Coordinate QA data, perform process analysis and develop reporting mechanisms.
• Manage projects related to the product line and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve in place of the Assistant Director when unavailable.
