Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Completion of NAACLS-accredited PA training program.
• National certification required; PA(ASCP) preferred.
• LIS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
• Conduct postmortem examinations and prepare bodies for release.
• Prepare tissue for tests (frozen section, flow cytometry, IHC).
• Photograph specimens and support education and supervision of staff.
• Maintain medical records and obtain autopsy authorization.
