Responsibilities include overseeing daily production, ensuring FIFO, labeling, and freshness, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.

Qualifications

• Culinary Arts Degree or Baking School certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissary, banquet, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of baking principles and techniques.
• Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
• Ability to work well with others; passion for serving people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities in the commissary, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of coolers and fridges for FIFO compliance, proper labeling, and freshness.
• Monitor and support production staff in following recipes accurately to maintain consistent product quality.
• Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure a visually appealing and tasteful presentation.
• Guide staff in maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure bakery equipment is in good working condition and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Bakery Manager on hiring, training, and termination processes as needed.
• Maintain payroll and ordering costs to stay within budget parameters.
• Innovate and create new, unique recipes that align with Joseph's Classic Market's brand and customer preferences.
