Job summary

Brashear Baptist Church in Brashear, TX seeks a Senior Pastor to lead the church, staff, and ministry teams in alignment with a New Testament model and the Great Commission.

The chosen candidate will shepherd worship, prayer, evangelism and care programs, cast vision, and work with the church body to fulfill its mission as outlined in the church Constitution and ByLaws. Strong governance and transparency are expected.

Qualifications

• Be diligent in prayer and study.
• Lead church vision, mission, and shepherding.
• Equip staff and volunteers to fulfill tasks.
• Lead, supervise and facilitate administrative functions.
• Be a lifelong learner.
• Oversee ministries such as prayer, pastoral care, worship, and evangelism.
• Foster cooperation between pastor and deacon offices.
• Represent the church in local and associational ministries.
• Provide pastoral care through visitation.
• Implement Brashear Baptist Church mission and by-laws.
• Background check and Ministry Safe Training required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to God and the church for duties.
• Work with Personnel Committee for evaluations.
• Subject to corrective action per Constitution and ByLaws.
