Job summary

Charis Community Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to guide the church in prayer, preaching, vision-casting, and shepherding, aligned with a gospel-centered, disciple-making mission. The ideal candidate will lead with humility, shepherd the elders, staff, and congregation, and foster church planting and spiritual growth.

He should be committed to a mature relationship with Jesus, maintain an active prayer life, and collaborate with church leaders to fulfill Charis’s vision and values.

Qualifications

• Meet the character qualifications of an Elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:5-9, accountable to a plurality of elders.
• Model a mature, growing relationship with Jesus and maintain an active prayer life.
• Collaborate effectively with elders, staff, and ministry leaders.
• Demonstrate shepherding, discipleship, and gospel-centered expository preaching.
• Affirm Charis’s Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Lead Charis Community Church to fulfill its mission through prayer, preaching, vision-casting, and shepherding.
• Collaborate with elders and ministry teams to shepherd the congregation.
• Oversee discipleship, church planting, and leadership development.
• Cast vision and equip leaders to grow in Christ-likeness.
