Job summary

First Baptist Church of Eunice is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor who is clearly called by God to pastoral ministry. The pastor will shepherd the congregation, preach and teach God’s Word, and lead the church in fulfilling the Great Commission within a Southern Baptist context.

The candidate should demonstrate a track record of biblical leadership, integrity, and pastoral care, with five years of pastoral or professional ministry experience preferred and ordination or eligibility for ordination

Qualifications

• Clear personal relationship with Jesus Christ and calling to pastoral ministry.
• Integrity and biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Tim 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9).
• Ability to shepherd, teach, and provide pastoral care.
• Ordination or eligibility for ordination in a Southern Baptist church.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct worship services with leadership from music ministry.
• Preach and teach Biblical truths with clarity and accuracy.
• Shepherd and oversee the congregation, guiding ministries and discipleship.
• Visit and minister to members and prospective members.
• Work with church officers, deacons, and leadership to fulfill the church's mission.
