Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Lead Parts Technician will be responsible for driving operational efficiency within the parts department, ensuring timely organization, execution, and delivery of jobs. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and leadership abilities to mentor team members and contribute to departmental growth and continuous improvement.

  • Technical Oversight & Execution: Lead and participate in parts orders, troubleshoot and test low and medium voltage equipment.
  • Coordinate and Prioritize Workflow: Organize daily parts operations, set priorities for routine and urgent jobs.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage and guide Parts Technicians, acting as the primary contact for job responsibilities.
  • Project Scheduling & Workflow Coordination: Plan and assign tasks for short-duration projects.
  • Training & Skill Development: Provide hands-on training to enhance team skills.
  • Performance Management & Accountability: Establish performance expectations, track productivity, and provide feedback.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED; electro-mechanical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of 480 volt to 25KV circuit breaker experience or 5+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial setting.
  • Testing skills and understanding of electrical/mechanical testing procedures are a plus.
  • Experience at an OEM breaker manufacturer is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel equipment is beneficial.
  • Understanding of power systems and switchgear is desirable.
