Job summary

Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) seeks a Natural Resources Technician 3, stationed at Paint Creek State Park in Highland County. You will work outdoors, maintain campgrounds and equipment, and interact with park visitors while leading equipment projects as needed.

The role offers a stable benefits package and opportunities for growth. Starting pay is $20.60/hour with increases leading to $23.49/hour, with progression over 4.5 years.

Qualifications

• 12 months training or 12 months experience in safety practices.
• 12 months training or 12 months experience in use of shop, hand and power tools & light equipment.
• 12 months training or 12 months experience in carpentry, electrical repair and plumbing.
• 12 months training or 12 months experience in equipment operation, maintenance & repair.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL if required for certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work outside in Ohio’s parks and outdoor settings.
• Perform customer service functions to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Acts as a lead worker for excavation and equipment projects.
• Maintain campground facilities, grounds and equipment.
• Maintain a variety of park equipment and vehicles.
• Interact daily with park and watercraft facility users.
