Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Primary Instructor to lead the Paramedic Program across didactic, lab, simulation, clinical, and field settings. You will align instruction with the curriculum and accreditation standards while supporting student success and competency development.

The role emphasizes high-quality teaching, accurate documentation, timely feedback, and collaboration with program leadership to uphold program quality and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Paramedic certification in good standing.
• Five or more years of documented EMS experience with advanced clinical competency.
• Demonstrated expertise in paramedic-level psychomotor skills, ALS procedures, and clinical decision-making.
• Minimum of two years instructional or teaching experience in an EMS or allied health education program.
• Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate didactic, laboratory, and simulation-based instruction effectively.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, competency-based education, and student evaluation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned paramedic course content in didactic, laboratory, simulation, clinical, and field settings.
• Ensure instruction reflects current EMS standards and scope of practice.
• Facilitate psychomotor skills training and simulations with approved evaluation tools.
• Evaluate student performance across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and coaching to promote skill mastery and professional growth.
• Document student performance, attendance, competency verification, and remediation activities.
• Participate in remediation planning and instructional support for students not meeting performance standards.
• Maintain instructional and evaluation records required for accreditation and quality assurance.
• Adhere to all program policies and accreditation standards established by the Program Director.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure instructional consistency and program quality.
• Participate in program outcomes assessment and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Model professionalism, ethical conduct, and effective communication in all instructional settings.
