Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic Basic for full-time EMS work in Florida. The role requires handling advanced patient care, leading scenes, and driving ambulances on 911 responses, with a starting hourly rate of 22.40+ DOE.

Qualifications include Florida Paramedic license, BLS/ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic, and a valid driver’s license. Healthcare experience is preferred; agility testing may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Florida paramedic license is required.
• Current BLS/ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Clean driving record per policy.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine best action using paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment such as defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the paramedic team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with other health and safety personnel and fellow paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
