Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Paramedic Emergency Medical Services professional to administer advanced life support and deliver high-quality care at the scene and during transport. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and hazardous materials standards.

You will operate an EMS ambulance, lead a team of responders, and perform required documentation while maintaining station cleanliness and readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Emergency medical technician-paramedic with ability to administer advanced life support care.
• Experience coordinating with physicians and other responders at emergency scenes.
• Must comply with OSHA infection control and hazardous materials standards.
• Ability to document patient care accurately and complete state/local paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to life-threatening and emergency medical calls.
• Coordinate response with physicians to develop a plan of care.
• Lead a team to triage, plan treatment, and prepare patients for transport.
• Ensure EMS equipment and vehicles are maintained and inventory is stocked.
• Interact with firefighters, law enforcement and other personnel at scenes.
• Complete necessary paperwork and document patient care.
• Handle hazardous materials and ensure disposal per regulations.
• Provide medical oversight during multi-casualty incidents.
• Participate in ongoing EMS training and certifications.
• Operate ambulance and medical equipment.
