Job summary

The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a Painter Module C within the Facilities Planning and Management – Zones Maintenance team in Los Angeles. The role provides leadership to journeymen and technicians, performs standard painting tasks, and estimates materials required for projects.

Training staff and maintaining safety practices are essential components of the job. Working hours are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Combined experience/education may substitute minimum education.
• Experience performing standard trade-related procedures, with knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Experience in matching colors and painting procedures.
• Valid California driver’s license; DMV Pull Notice System may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to journeymen and Zone Maintenance Technicians.
• Perform standard painting procedures and related tasks from blueprints and plans.
• Estimate materials required for specific job components.
• Train journeymen and other staff in required skills.
• Prepare reports and maintenance records as needed.
