Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking an experienced Painter Lead to support daily operations in the Paint Department.

The Lead will provide hands-on leadership, technical guidance, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications. Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, training team members, troubleshooting painting issues, preparing surfaces, applying coatings, inspecting finished work, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read drawings and paint specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to train and guide team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to painters to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on painting techniques and safety procedures.
• Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and repairing before painting.
• Set up and operate spray equipment to apply coatings and finishes.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain paint equipment and manage materials and supplies.
• Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement.
