Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Leadman to guide craft workers, support the Foreman, and perform journeyman painting duties on site. You will oversee preparations, mixing of coatings, and application to heavy equipment, buildings, and structures.

Responsibilities include surface protection, material estimation, and ensuring safety and quality standards. The role requires reading work orders, using scaffolding, and coordinating with supervisors on progress.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of painting application techniques and safety rules.
• Ability to plan work, select proper tools, and work to precise standards.
• Ability to read plans and drawings to visualize tasks.
• Decision making based on measurable criteria and job specs.

Responsibilities

• Cover surfaces with drop cloths and masking to protect areas.
• Select and mix coatings to achieve desired color and finish.
• Prepare surfaces, fill cracks, and seal joints as needed.
• Use blasting and sanding equipment to remove rust and old paint.
• Apply primers and finishes to structures, equipment, or surfaces.
• Estimate material quantities and job costs from orders.
