Job summary

Tecknomic LLC in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Paint SE Upper Body Engineer to lead new model activities and act as the design-to-manufacturing liaison across North American paint shops. You will develop Paint SE standards, plan schedules and support production trials to meet safety, quality, productivity and cost targets.

You will drive improvements in Paint SE quality and cost, provide new model paint processes to facilities, and create CAD data to support manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–3+ years of engineering work experience (co-op or internship: 2+ terms).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling, AutoCAD and CATIA, with at least 1 year 3D CAD drawing experience.
• Strong project scheduling and MS Office skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive paint processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead new model activity in the Paint SE function as liaison between design and manufacturing across NA paint shops.
• Develop and update Paint SE standard check sheets and standard work; capture cross-project feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement in Paint SE quality, safety, productivity and cost.
• Provide new model paint processes to facilities meeting paint, safety, quality, productivity and cost standards.
• Plan overall project schedules and coordinate production trials at manufacturing sites.
• Create and interpret 2D and 3D CAD data to support design feedback and manufacturing readiness.
