Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or Environmental Science.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Ability to obtain Lead Inspector Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

  • Performs lead assessments according to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintains documentation of inspections and remediation activities.
  • Coordinates lead hazard control and remediation work in eligible housing units.
  • Oversees contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and in compliance.
  • Prepares reports identifying lead hazards and required remediation activities.
  • Notifies certified testing companies for clearance testing and coordinates timelines.
  • Ensures clearance samples meet lead-safe standards for occupancy safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
