PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform duties and responsibilities of specific job while supervising employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the employee owner will:

  • Lead all employees in addition to performing general duties and responsibilities of primary job.
  • Available to work all hours including overtime.
  • Read and understand various paperwork, including but not limited to prints, schedules, shipping orders, bill of lading, transfer sheets, packing lists, and UPS tags.
  • Ensure all parts are accurate according to specifications.
  • Perform general housekeeping and preventative maintenance in various departments.

  • Strong commitment to quality and working safely.
  • Ability to read various measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, caliper, micrometer, etc.).

  • Prior experience in production and/or manufacturing preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak, so as to properly understand and relay important safety and quality information.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift and other mechanical devices as needed to perform the role.
  • Capable of working well with others and maintaining excellent interdepartmental relationships.
  • Readily accepts instructions from management and supervisors and executes effectively.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
  • Forklift license (Training provided by PPI)

  • Occasionally exposed to toxic chemicals and extreme heat (non-weather).
  • Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection required in areas where posted. Additional PPE may be required depending on the area that work is being performed.
