Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Great Falls, MT. This full-time on-site leadership role focuses on directing the PACU team and optimizing patient flow from admission through phase II recovery.

You will supervise staffing, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia, and ensure adherence to CPAN/ASPAN guidelines while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; CPAN/ASPAN preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years PACU nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily patient flow across Pre-Op and PACU areas.
• Act as primary shift leader, manage real-time staffing and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with CPAN/ASPAN patient safety and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with PACU Supervisor, surgeons, anesthesia providers and allied staff.
• Provide mentorship and support to Pre-Op/PACU team.
