Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is partnering with a regional hospital in Great Falls, MT to hire a dedicated PACU RN for full-time, on-site work. You’ll join a clinical team focused on safe recovery, patient comfort, and efficient post-anesthesia care.

The role requires 2–4 years in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing, with ICU exposure preferred. Excellent nurse-to-patient ratios and strong teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active Montana RN license (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective/outpatient procedures.
• Monitor patients post-anesthesia, manage airway and ventilation as needed.
• Care for high-acuity post-operative patients with chest tubes, lines, and short-term ventilator support.
• Observe wounds/lines and manage drains to prevent complications.
• Titrate IV meds for pain control and PANV management.
• Coordinate care plans with Providers, Anesthesia, Nurse Managers, and CNAs.
