The role requires 4+ years in packaging design (medical devices preferred), 2+ years CAD experience (SolidWorks/Creo), and strong QSR knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in packaging design and development (medical device packaging preferred).
• 2+ years packaging CAD design in SolidWorks or Creo.
• Strong knowledge of QSR and medical device packaging standards.
• Strategic thinker with strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of packaging procedures, design rules, and guidelines balancing performance, cost, and reliability for sterile and non-sterile packaging.
• Create advanced packaging designs from concept through final release with CAD documentation.
• Develop and maintain component specifications for all packaging levels and lead testing protocols.
• Collaborate with product development to define packaging solutions while managing multiple projects.
• Design and validate cases and trays for transportation and terminal sterilization of non-sterile devices.
• Identify viable packaging options, support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Contribute to DFMEA/PFMEA related to packaging with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct value analysis and stay current with packaging trends.
• Establish thought leadership in sterile and non-sterile packaging and pursue credentials.
