Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Package Handler to join our overnight operations in Groveport, OH. You will promote safety, train teams, and oversee sorting and inspection of packages to prevent damage and misroutes.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of industry experience; leadership experience is preferred. Expect a night shift from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Friday, with physical duties including lifting up to 150 lbs when handling pallets.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols including dock, conveyor, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Train and guide Package Handlers with hands-on demonstrations and ongoing feedback.
• Oversee package handling, sorting, and inspection to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
• Monitor equipment functionality and submit maintenance requests; manage damaged freight per procedures.
• Check in/out third-party drivers, verify credentials, and ensure documentation and manifest accuracy.

Pay: $20.00 per hour, plus a $1.00/Hour weekend differential incentive

Shift: Sunday through Friday from 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• 1 year of industry experience
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred
• Regularly lift, push, pull 25 - 35 lbs. Occasionally carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally push or pull up to 150 lbs. using a pallet jack or gaylords to transport large packages.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
