Job summary

OnTrac is a leading same-day and next-day carrier based in Carlstadt, NJ, seeking a hands-on Package Handler supervisor. You will train and guide teams, oversee sorting and inspection, and ensure accuracy while maintaining a safe, efficient dock environment.

The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 150 lbs occasionally, with hours including overnight shifts Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday. OnTrac emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of industry experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Regularly lift 25–35 lbs; occasionally carry up to 50 lbs and up to 150 lbs with pallet jack/gaylords.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols including dock, conveyor, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Train and guide Package Handlers with hands-on demonstrations and ongoing feedback.
• Oversee package handling, sorting, and inspection to ensure accuracy and prevent damage or misroutes.
• Monitor equipment functionality, submit maintenance requests, and manage damaged freight per procedures.
• Check in/out third-party drivers, verify credentials, and ensure proper documentation and manifest accuracy.

Pay: $24.15 per hour
Shift: Sunday to Wednesday OR Wednesday to Saturday from 12:00am to 8:00am. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves:
