Job summary

Withum’s Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) team seeks an Outsourced Accounting Manager for our Los Angeles, CA office. This hybrid role (3 days in office) oversees staff and senior team members servicing diverse industries, solving problems and delivering accurate financials.

You will lead month-end close, review journal entries, coordinate audits, and support budgeting and forecasting while fostering client relationships and internal controls improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required or active.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership and review responsibilities.
• Experience with outsourced accounting or advisory services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of professionals; assign work and provide coaching.
• Oversee accounts payable workflows and payroll filings in collaboration with client HR/payroll.
• Lead month-end close; review journal entries and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and performance analytics for clients.
• Partner with client leadership as day-to-day contact; communicate status and recommendations.
• Coordinate external reviews and audits; manage auditor requests.
