Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Tech Lead at Penrose - St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs. You will supervise pharmacy technicians, help prioritize medication orders, and ensure efficient outpatient operations in a PRN capacity with a 15% differential.

You will train staff, review technician performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• National PTCB certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Active Colorado/Kansas technician license or Colorado certification with provisional path and 12-month timeline.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists with medication orders and department needs.
• Prioritize prescriptions by urgency and accuracy.
• Enter prescription information into system accurately and dispense correct quantities.
• Provide courteous customer service and phone assistance.
• Lead technician activities, schedule, and training, and perform performance reviews.

Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.

National PTCB certification (within 6 months of hire)

Active Pharmacy Technician License (Colorado) or Kansas; Colorado Certification or Provisional Certification (within 12 months)
