Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Recreation Worker I to lead interpretive tours in outdoor settings and mentor Level I & II guides. You will greet guests, provide safety orientations, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering engaging educational experiences.

Responsibilities include guiding diverse visitors, maintaining safety, and educating guests about local ecology and history. The role requires weekend/flexible availability and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Training in First Aid protocols such as Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness Advanced First Aid, Wilderness EMT or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Multilingual skills a plus.
• Extensive experience guiding in the same or related environment.
• Sit, stand and walk for varied amounts of time.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Leads guests on organized and educational excursions.
• Provide leadership and training for level I & II guides.
• Greet guests and provide an orientation of safety and equipment concerns, basic etiquette, area regulations, safety procedures, resource protection.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of guests.
• Guides will ensure guide compliance with operations Manual and Contracts.
• Be aware of MSDS sheets and use information when necessary.
• Guides should test communications equipment prior to operation.
• Must be a knowledgeable guide for clients, and provide support and reassurance.
• Educate self on local ecology, geology, history and culture to answer guest questions.
• Provide interpretation in a variety of settings and choreograph tours for diverse visitors.
• Adheres to cash handling policies and protects company assets.
