Job summary

Qualifications

• Training in First Aid protocols such as Wilderness First Responder, WFA, WEMT or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Multi-lingual skills a plus.
• Must have extensive experience guiding in the same or related environment.
• Sit, stand and walk for varied amounts of time.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Leads guests on organized and educational excursions.
• Provide leadership and training for level I & II guides.
• Greet guests and provide orientation on safety and equipment.
• Adheres to safety policies to ensure guest safety.
• Ensure guide compliance with manuals and contracts.
• Be aware of MSDS sheets and use information when necessary.
• Test communications equipment prior to operation.
• Be knowledgeable about local ecology, geology, history, and culture.
• Provide interpretation in a variety of settings and engage guests of all ages.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and protect company assets.
• Maintain a safe work environment through daily upkeep.
