Job summary

DREAM Adaptive Recreation is seeking a Program Manager to lead year-round adaptive programs in Montana. You will supervise coordinators and seasonal staff, recruit and train volunteers, and manage equipment, safety, and logistics to deliver safe, high-quality experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication, with winter activities at Whitefish Mountain Resort and Glacier Nordic Club, and summer office and field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in outdoor recreation or program management with leadership experience.
• Experience coordinating and delivering outdoor recreation programs in outdoor settings.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and staff development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Program Operations: plan and run DREAM programs with effective staffing and logistics.
• Volunteer Management: lead 200+ volunteers with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and engagement.
• Staff Leadership: supervise and coach Program Coordinators and seasonal staff.
• Program Quality & Experience: ensure high-quality experiences for participants and families.
• Equipment & Fleet: oversee readineess and use of adaptive equipment and vehicles.
• Safety & Risk Management: maintain safety policies and incident response.
• Systems & Continuous Improvement: improve workflows and operational systems with the Program Director.
