Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an OSP Engineer III to lead end‑to‑end engineering of complex outside plant programs, from conceptual routing through permit approvals, construction release, and closeout. You will set technical direction for fiber/copper builds and ensure designs meet NESC and client standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive cross‑functional coordination, and elevate quality through QA/QC, field validation, and data‑driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive OSP Engineering leadership delivering complex projects from design to closeout.
• Deep knowledge of road moves, loss budgets, splicing plans, constructability and value engineering.
• Hands-on field measurement experience; working knowledge of NESC and OSP standards.
• Experience obtaining permits and ROW/easements; pole attachments coordination.
• Ability to build, track budgets and perform QA/QC and site inspections.
• Proficiency with PC apps, CAD systems, and field measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering scope for multi-site OSP builds (fiber & copper; aerial/UG; pole, direct-buried, conduit).
• Produce and seal engineering plans, splicing diagrams, loss budgets, BOMs, and construction prints.
• Perform advanced loop‑loss sizing; plan field-mounted switch serving areas and network segmentation.
• Lead constructability reviews, value engineering, and route optimization; resolve conflicts.
• Direct field surveys and ensure NESC clearances; drive QA across design to closeout.
• Oversee permits and ROW/easements; coordinate pole attachments and make-ready.
