Job summary

CSU Veterinary Health is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the Orthopedic Surgery Service in Fort Collins. VTII/VTIII positions include perioperative patient care, surgical preparation, and intraoperative support, with responsibilities spanning collaboration, teaching, and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification recognized in Colorado or ability to acquire certification at the time of hire.
2+ years of working experience in veterinary medicine (VTII).
3+ years of working experience in veterinary medicine (VTIII).

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and technical support during perioperative periods and orthopedic procedures.
Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, students, and staff to coordinate patient care and teach.
Maintain documentation, prepare equipment, and support efficient daily workflow.
Support protocol compliance, quality improvement, and professional development.
Provide intraoperative support and nursing care for orthopedic patients.
