Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong Exadata expertise to provide production support in a high-availability environment. The role covers Exadata components, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and patching within a 24x7 global support model.

The candidate should have extensive RAC/GRID Infrastructure experience, strong scripting skills, and experience coordinating with offshore vendors in a large corporate setting. On-site in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of production support experience as Oracle DBA with at least 6 years on Exadata
• Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience including build, admin, troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Experience in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration
• Expertise in RMAN, datapump and export/import for backup and recovery
• Experience on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS with shell scripting; willing to work in 24x7 global support
• Experience with offshore vendors and ITIL-based change/release management

Job description

• Top-notch Exadata specialist Experience in RAC, ASM, Dataguard, Infiniband switch, storage cell
• Experience in Exadata health check, migration, resource management and patching/upgrade
• Expertise in database performance tuning Expertise in Backup and recovery Basic
• Requirement
• 10-12 years of production support experience as Oracle DBA with at least 6 years of strong experience on Exadata platform
• Demonstrable experience of managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment.
• Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience including build, general administration, troubleshooting (Break/Fix) and performance tuning skills
• Experience in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration Skilled in Oracle ASM and Dataguard administration
• Expertise in SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
• Experience in maintenance and management of databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
• Experience on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills. Willingness to work in 24*7 Global support model.

• Excellent communication & coordination skills is required. Strong initiative and sense of ownership.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
