Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Team Lead - Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role combines direct patient care as the charge nurse with leadership responsibilities to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and efficient OR operations.

You will oversee staffing on the designated shift, guide team performance, monitor patient flow from admission to discharge, and support organizational quality measures and patient experience initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Completion of charge nurse training and competencies (within 90 days for external hire).
• Current Texas RN license or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Specialty Certification or plan to obtain within 2 years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provides front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, ensuring quality and integrity of care.
• Develops staffing plan based on patient acuity and oversees day-to-day operations on the shift.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to support unit fiscal goals.
• Coordinates patient flow, including admissions and discharges, for the unit.
• Supports department and organizational objectives including patient experience and quality metrics.
• Participates in process improvement and peer feedback as requested by management.
