RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ, seeks a Lead OR Equipment Technician to coordinate daily OR equipment operations in a Level I Trauma setting. You will mentor technicians, ensure equipment is inspected and ready, and partner with Biomedical Engineering and vendors.

This role emphasizes leadership, safety, regulatory compliance, and proactive problem-solving during complex surgeries, including robotics and cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Three years OR Equipment Technician experience required; five years with lead/supervisory preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and OR workflows.
• Amer Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of OR Equipment Technicians.
• Mentor team, onboard staff, and drive process improvements.
• Inspect, test, clean, and prepare surgical equipment for procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and coordinate maintenance.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing, and Biomedical Engineering to support surgeries.
