Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Lead Optometric Assistant to monitor and manage optometric assistant performance and proficiency levels. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include training and leading a team of Optometric Assistants, ensuring timely teching and scribing, managing EHRs, and upholding a clean, welcoming practice environment for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a vision practice is a plus.
• Ability to tech, scribe, and perform optometric tasks.
• Proficiency in EHR systems.
• Ability to train and lead a team of Optometric Assistants.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and audit frame board on a weekly basis.
• Order and track materials/supplies needed for back office.
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assists the team when falling behind.
• Educate patients on proper frame selection and lens options.
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
