Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Lead Ophthalmic Scrub Technologist to join our surgical team. You will provide expert scrub support during ophthalmic procedures and oversee instrumentation and room prep.

Must have ophthalmology experience, CST certification, and current BLS. Candidates should have proven scrub tech experience and be able to operate in a fast-paced setting with professionalism and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have Ophthalmology experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Surgical Technologist (CST) certification proof is REQUIRED.
• Proven scrub tech experience.
• Oversee surgical operations.
• Plan surgical room prep.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical protocols.
• Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Expert Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons with precision and efficiency during ophthalmic procedures.
• Technical Proficiency: Perform technical skills with confidence and accuracy.
• Instrumentation & Supply Management: Provide and assist with instrumentation and supplies as needed.
• Aseptic Technique & Compliance: Scrub according to AORN policies and accreditation standards.
